Lines & Crew Program

Lines & Crew Class Offerings

Jazzline (10+)
Dancers looking for a more rigorous and dedicated jazz class that will perform one competition each season – this class is for you. This class is for someone who is motivated and confident enough to perform for critique, but isn’t ready to invest in our academy program. Students will be required to participate in an additional non-competitive jazz class to continue to build training and strengthen skills. Dancers will also be asked to purchase a costume and additional make-up/accessories necessary for their performance.

Tapline (10+)
Dancers looking for a more rigorous and dedicated tap class that will perform one competition each season – this class is for you. This class is for someone motivated and confident enough to perform for critique, but isn’t ready to invest in our academy program. Students will be required to participate in an additional non-competitive tap class (tap technique is a non-performance option) to continue to build training and strengthen skills. Dancers will also be asked to purchase a costume and additional make-up/accessories necessary for their performance.

Crew (10+)
Dancers looking for a more serious and dedicated hip-hop class that will perform one competition each season – this class is for you. This class is for someone motivated and confident enough to perform for critique, but isn’t ready to invest in our academy program. Students will be required to participate in an additional non-competitive hip-hop class to continue to build training and strengthen skills. Dancers will also be asked to purchase a costume and additional make-up/accessories necessary for their performance.

 

Depending on enrollment, if classes are large enough, we will divide each competitive group into 2 classes: one junior group to accommodate the younger kids, and one senior to accommodate older, more advanced students.

All prospective Line and Crew dancers must attend an annual audition held in August.

Lines & Crew (10+)

Our Lines & Crew program gives students the opportunity to compete at 1 regional competition a year. This program includes the genres of jazz, tap, and hip-hop, and is broken down into the following groups:

  • Jazzline

  • Tapline

  • Hip-Hop Crew

​

Lines & Crew Involves:

  • Annual audition (held in August).

  • Prioritizing dance over all other extracurricular activities.

  • 1 regional competition a year.

  • Participation in summer classes strongly encouraged.

  • Participation in our annual recital (held in May/June). 

​

Lines & Crew Training:

  • At least 1 technique class that corresponds to their Line or Crew Class:​

    • Jazz Technique (for Jazzline)

    • Tap Technique (for Tapline)

    • Hip-Hop (for Crew)
